Mosey for the Arts



Mosey for the Arts is tomorrow in downtown Lafayette! The festival takes place on 9th street between Main and Columbia. The event is free and open to the public. There will be food, art, music, and several activities for people to enjoy.

Mosey for the Arts presents family-friendly live performances, hands-on art activities, and cultural information highlighting regional artists and arts organizations.This Mosey gives artists a chance to interact with a wider audience and bring art to those who don't get a chance to experience art in their day to day life.  Artists will be showcasing their art and different organizations will offer a variety of activities.

The Morton Community Center will have an interactive art piece titled, "Selfie Portraits". Artist Jeannette Rehmel will be at the booth to help you along from 6-9 pm. The center will also feature live music performances from MorDancN, Zumba,  Kat Lebo, and belly dancers! Performances will take place at 6:45-7:20.

Photo: We will be at the Mosey this Saturday, Aug 9th with a little art project we like to call the "Selfie Portrait". Come make some fun, silly art with us! Artist Jeannette Rehmel will be at our booth to help you along. We will be on 9th St. between Main and Columbia, 6p-9p.

TAF will also have its Instrument Petting Zoo set up for the kiddies to enjoy.  Have your kids try their hand at playing a musical instrument! The petting zoo will be open from 6-9 pm.




















Live Music will take place at five different stages located throughout downtown. Stages include the Black Sparrow stage on 3rd and Main Street, the Center Stage on 6th and Main Street, Spurlock's stage on 8th and Main Street, My Sisters 'N Me Stage on 9th and Main Street, and the East Stage on 11th and Main Street. 



















All the main street art galleries will be open for public viewing! Art galleries on Main Street include Artists' Own, Purdue Fountain Gallery, Grateful Heart, Lala Gallery and Studio, Something Special, Susie Gibbs Framing, Operation Ink, KL Art Gallery, and more! Stop in and enjoy some art work. Also look for different art booths located throughout downtown.



Mosey for the Arts lasts from 6-11 pm! Gather up your friends or family and discover the arts in Greater Lafayette this Saturday.
