Members of Lafayette Lacemakers Inc will be demonstrating at "Dickens of a Christmas" on Saturday, December 6. Please visit us while we demonstrate bobbin lacemaking, tatting, and more. We love to answer questions!

The guild has donated Christmas ornaments to the Haan Mansion Museum to sell during their Christmas Open House, November 29 & 30, and December 6 & 7. All proceeds from the sale of the ornaments will go to the museum.



Holiday Tours at Haan Mansion Museum

Holiday Tours will feature numerous Christmas trees, Santas, angels, nativities, musical decorations, Dickens Villages, Lafayette houses and a train that travels through several rooms. New gingerbread-style house accommodates young children. November 29-30 and December 6-7;

Tippecanotes need voices in all four singing parts: Lead, Tenor, Baritone, and Bass


The Lafayette Tippecanotes Barbershop Chorus and Quartets chord-ially invite male singers to visit us at 7pm on any Tuesday at the Christ United Methodist Church (corner of 18th St. and Veterans Memorial Parkway).



In addition to our Annual Show, our chorus performs for audiences in Tippecanoe and surrounding counties.

We will discuss current theories regarding memory and creativity, but the bulk of our time will be spent working on exercises that will provide access to the unconscious mind and then render those images in writing. Delphi Public Library


How to get BIG RESULTS from a small camera will be offered at Delphi Public Library, 222 East Main, December 4, 11 & 18 at 6:30 pm. Photographer Dave McDowell will share tips from his extensive experience. Critical settings, the three steps to a good photograph, basic composition, and photo editing will be discussed. Participants should bring a digital camera and also laptops and photos, for hands-on experience. Register by calling 765-564-2929.



New Member Club Meeting: Thursday, December 4, 2-4 pm, Large Conference Room, Extension Office.  Persons interested in knowing more about Tippecanoe County Extension Homemakers are invited to join us. Purdue Orchestras present Symphonie Fantastique

A classic Romantic work of An Episode in the Life of an Artist in Five Parts, on December 6 at 8 pm in Loeb Playhouse.

Purdue Bands present two holiday concerts: Tuba Christmas features holiday favorites on low brass instruments December 12 at 7pm in Loeb Playhouse followed by the pan-cultural Holiday Cheer and All That Jazz at 8 pm.

All concerts are free and open to the public.



"Wintry Mix '14"

Meet Susan Blubaugh as she demonstrates "Pysanky-making Ukranian-style eggs",  Dwayne Daehler as he teaches "How to read a photograph", and Sandy Daniel as she layers color and texture with "Painting with a palette knife". Wabash College - 47th Annual Christmas Festival of Music & Readings

The Christmas Festival, which started at Wabash in 1968, alternates performance of musical numbers, congregational hymns and carols, and readings from the Bible. A Christmas Story, The Musical, December 12-14 at the Long Center. Ralphie and his quest for an Official Red Ryder air rifle. Rebuffed at every turn with "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out", Ralphie plots to achieve the coveted BB gun. All iconic scenes from the movie are here: Flick, getting his tongue stuck to the flagpole; the leg lamp; and more! It will bring an exciting new dimension fans, both old and new.

The Monticello Public Library presents: "Murder in Crooke's Crossing" on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13 at 6 p.m., and Sunday, December 14 at 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the library beginning Monday, November 17.
